IN-PERSON ACTING TRAINING
Weekly in-person acting classes in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Leighton Atelier combines acting training with filmed performance, giving actors the experience of working on camera and seeing themselves on screen. Designed for adults and mature teens 16+, training is available in person at the Leighton Atelier Scottsdale Clubhouse and through our online membership.
SCENE STUDY
Monday Nights, 6:30-9:30pm
Our core, 3 hour class. Actors work on scenes over multiple weeks, allowing time to explore text, behavior, and truthful performance on camera. Each class is filmed as a live multi-camera set, giving actors the experience of working within a professional production environment.
Members also have access to the Online Lounge where they can playback their performances and study ongoing lessons.
VISCERAL REACTION
Thursday Nights, 6:30-8:30pm
Where Scene Study gives you structure, Visceral Reaction gives you freedom. This two-hour class is designed to strip away overthinking and rehearsed choices. Actors arrive with no preparation, receive a cold read, and are filmed after one read through. The work is then showcased on an 8K projector for Dustin to provide feedback.
Members also have access to the Online Lounge where they can study ongoing lessons.
OFFICE HOURS
Office Hours take place during the first and last half-hour of every class, giving students open access to one-on-one time with Dustin for guidance and questions.
